We're proud to have exceptional individuals, families, and businesses supporting the Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Thank you for your commitment to youth and music! DMYS is a 501c3 nonprofit (find us on Guidestar); your 100% tax-deductible donation directly helps our students, including our scholarship and mentoring programs.

DMYS is a parent-run organization.  The support of our parents and local community keeps tuition accessible for our student musicians. The DMYS Board is committed to responsible and thoughtful expenditures.  Personal, small business, and corporate support is vital to keeping our organization healthy. Your patronage allows DMYS to:

-Rent excellent performance venues
-Rent a suitable rehearsal venue
-Retain and compensate our exceptional conductors
-Promote and recruit to sustain and grow DMYS
-Fund annual spring awards to students

DMYS Tuition Assistance Funding
We are pleased to announce the creation of a DMYS scholarship fund to assist students with financial need.  Thank you to the Myron P. Leven Foundation for their generous contribution and their commitment to youth and music education.

DMYS Spring Award Scholarships
Several of our spring awards include a partial scholarship. These awards are given to honor Jessica K. Rogers’ memory. Jessica loved music and her family wished to promote and assist other DMYS students in their studies and performance of orchestra music.
