Tuition Assistance / Scholarship Application

DMYS is committed to our community and to preventing financial circumstances from becoming a barrier to any young musician's participation in our orchestras.  Any current or accepted student may apply for aid.  

Scholarship application deadlines: 

  • May 31 - Returning students and students auditioning in May
  • August 31 - Students auditioning in August, pending fund availability
  • After September 1 - pending fund availability

Consideration for any scholarship award is based on demonstrated financial need.  Applying for assistance does not guarantee approval.  Previous scholarship award does not guarantee scholarship award for next season. We will not accept incomplete applications for Financial Aid.  All information will be kept confidential within the DMYS Board of Directors.

Any recipient absent more than 3 times per concert cycle will lose tuition assistance and be required to pay tuition to remain enrolled.

Your application will be reviewed by the DMYS Board of Directors Tuition Assistance Committee, and DMYS staff will notify families of any financial aid award via email before tuition is due.
